Ruby von Riesling is a gorgeous 6-7 year old long haired German Shepherd with a medium energy level. She walks great on leash and is comfortable with her surroundings, always wagging her tail and happy to explore. Initially Ruby may bark at other dogs during her walks but she will respond to correction. House-trained Ruby is a confident, mature girl who is very obedient and has impeccably good manners. If you direct her to stay in a particular room, she will. Wherever you direct her to lie down, she will. If you tell her it’s potty time, she will head to the door and go outside. She knows not to jump on the furniture or chew household items; instead she amuses herself with her toys, popping a ball out of her mouth and then chasing it. Although she does well with dogs who have the same calm energy level as hers, she isn’t interested in socializing at a dog park but rather prefers hanging out with you. Her protective shepherd nature prompts her to bark when someone comes to your door (what a great alarm system). This beautiful girl who walks with a show-dog trot will be the envy of your neighbors.
